Diigo , wikis and blogs

I am still thinking of what activities  I could use in order to use the new tools I've learned. I already have my blog activities. I am thinking of using wikis and blogs for a little more demanding things. All of them have their advantage and disadvantages. During this course, I have found out differences among the different tools that have made me reflect and come up with different ideas that are still going around my mind

Working with Wikis and blogs

Among the tools I am planning on using for my course , I think wiki and Blogs.....would be my first two  options!!!

I am planning to make my students research about topics which they are interested in and use those topics for writing activities (open writing). Another idea that I have is to make students read specific articles so that they could read , underline ,  summarize , identify ,  compare and contrast , including their own perspective or personal opinions!! in an open writing space such as wikis or blogs . Of course , i will select the articles and the activities according to the level of english of my students.

I have already worked on this with my students , and i have had interesting results.

If u have any new idea or tips for , they'll be welcomed.

My first steps.

Honestly , I have to say that it is a big challenge for me to design an english course using Web 2.0 tools, however, during my first month of the U.C.G. distance and Virtual learning I have learnt a lot and i am very anxious of knowing as many tools as I can in order to select the most appropriate and useful ones for my english course.
Of course, I can say that learning web 2.0 tools for educational purposes is also learning values on how to use them. It is true that technology gives us an incredible opportunity to create and share what we have learnt or know , but respecting and accepting what others think and know is a big commitment in this tech-world.
